Cooper was the Louisiana Player of the Year in 1999. He was also a three-time All-Sun Belt Conference, two-time first team All-Louisiana and two-time first team NABC All-District selection. He was also a SBC All-Tournament selection in 1997, in addition to being a second team All-Louisiana and NABC All-District selection. He finished his career as the leading three-point shooter and second in assists in Louisiana Tech history, with 219 three-point field goals made for a 2.11 average and 523 assists for a 5.03 average. He also had 1,451 career points for a 14.0 average. He led the nation with a 92.1% free throw percentage in 1999. He averaged 13.7 points and 5.44 assists in 1999, 17.0 points and 5.15 assists in 1998, 14.2 points and 5.11 assists in 1997, and 10.5 points and 4.38 assists in 1996. He had a single game scoring high of 33 points. |
